Bryan Hirschmann is a licensed Maryland real estate agent with Charis Realty Group, serving the greater Frederick area. A lifelong Maryland resident, Bryan grew up in Sykesville and lived in Howard, Baltimore, and Harford counties before settling in Frederick County 12 years ago. His connection to the region reflects years of living, working, and serving in its communities.
Bryan served 23 years in the Army, including 15 as a trumpet player and sound engineer with the Army Band and eight as a recruiter for the Maryland Army National Guard. Recruiting allowed him to help applicants and their families understand their options and pursue their goals through community and national service. He is a graduate with honors from the University of Charleston in West Virginia and holds a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership.
Following military retirement, real estate felt like a natural next step—a way to continue helping people solve problems, reach goals, and navigate important decisions. Bryan understands that buying or selling a home involves immediate needs and long-term plans. His candid, thoughtful approach gives clients honest information and space to decide without pressure. He works to understand what matters to each client and help them move forward with clarity and confidence.
Service remains central to Bryan’s life. For 22 years, he has volunteered and taught marching band and percussion throughout the region. He founded and runs Old Line Performing Arts, Inc., a youth performing arts nonprofit focused on leadership development through performance. His work with high school marching bands includes Thomas Johnson, Oakdale, Walkersville, Frederick, and Linganore, plus programs in other counties and surrounding states. Whether coaching students or guiding clients, Bryan enjoys helping people recognize their abilities and take practical steps toward their goals.
Bryan and his wife, Kim, have two children, a son and a daughter, who happily fill much of his time. This chapter allows him to be more present in their lives while continuing the work he finds most meaningful: showing up for people, helping them navigate challenges, and supporting what comes next.
